Dr. Janine Talty, D.O., M.P.H.

Dr. Janine Talty, D.O., M.P.H. holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Masters in Public Health, with a BS in Sports Medicine, with Residency and Fellowship at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, with certifications in Manual Medicine, Muscle Energy Techniques, Myofascial Release, Strain-Counter Strain, Function Indirect Technique, Craniosacral Techniques, Direction Action Thrust, and Exercise Prescription. She is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, holds a California State Medical License, is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Back Society, the International Spinal Injection Society and a Board Member of the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine. Dr. Talty is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and is the Medical Director of the Wellness & Rehabilitation Medical Center.

Rev. T’shala Olivieri, CMT, M.DIV.

Rev. Olivieri is a certified massage therapist with a Masters of Divinity who has been trained and certified in Breema, Chakra Balancing, Regenesis, Reiki, Chi Lel Oi Gong, Swedish Massage. As an ordained minister, Rev. Olivieri is available also for blessings, weddings and other important life-honoring ceremonies.

Becky Sheaffer-Egan, M.P.T.

Becky graduated from U.C. Davis in Biological Sciences in1992.  She continued her studies, receiving her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, Ca in 1996, and became Polestar Certified in Pilates in 2002. 

Becky’s educational background in physical therapy is extensive with training in Maitland evaluation and treatment, Kaiser Residency’s 6 month intensive Advanced Manual Therapy Skills and Mentorship, McKenzie treatment methods, Michigan State Osteopathic Medicine Evaluation and Treatment methods, Watsu techniques, Muscle Energy, Ergonomic consulting and Craniosacral techniques.  Most recently, she has been studying Mechanical Link evaluation and treatment methods through the Upledger Institute.  These techniques address all planes of movement in peripheral and spinal joints, lines of force at cranial and sacral complexes, as well as long bones, dural restriction, visceral mobility and vascular restriction.

A California native, Rebecca became involved in sports, fitness and dance at an early age. She became a fitness instructor in 1971, was certified as a massage therapist in 1993 and received personal training certification from the American Council on Fitness in 2003. In 2004 she was awarded Pilates Mat Certification through the California Education Connection. Rebecca has been a Physical Therapy Aide since 2002 in both private clinic and hospital settings. Rebecca enjoys working one-on-one with her clients. She has good listening skills and focuses on helping her clients set and meet their goals, whether it be improving fitness, increasing general wellness, increasing flexibility or decreasing muscle tension.

 

Charlie Singer, L.Ac, R.N.

Charles Singer received his Master of Acupuncture Degree (M.Ac.) in 1988 from the Tai Sophia Institute.   His class received the first accredited master of acupuncture degree (M.Ac.) given in the United States. The TIA-Sophia Institute is located in Columbia, Maryland.   He has practiced acupuncture  in Santa Cruz, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties since 1988. He has been a Registered Nurse since 1980. While practicing acute care hospital nursing, he developed in the following specialties; medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation, orthopedics, intensive and cardiac care.   Charles started the first HIV community education program in Santa Cruz County through the Santa Cruz AIDS Project in 1985. He brings all this medical knowledge to his practice of acupuncture. His Acupuncture specialties include Five Element Acupuncture, Dr. Tan Harmonizing style (pain relief), and  Auricular Acupuncture.   He completed a two year specialty course of study in Orthopedic Acupuncture resulting in a credentialing as a Diplomat of the National Board of Orthopedic Acupuncture (Dipl. NBOA).  He is credential in HIV/AIDS care as an acupuncturist through the Quan Yin Clinic of San Francisco. Charles id Credentialed by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA).  He has started and run programs for the treatment of drug and alcohol abuse at Elmwood Correctional Facility (county jail), prenatal clinics and dual diagnosis clinics in Santa Clara County.   He worked for 9 months with the Ursus Medical Corporation (HIV Care) at Stanford.   He left Stanford to help begin the Wellness and Rehabilitation Center here in Watsonville in 1996. In 2002 the Metro Santa Cruz  awarded him the Bronze Award for "Best of Acupuncturist of Santa Cruz." Charles  has taught clinical acupuncture, guest lectured at both Five Branches  College of Chinese Medicine, in Santa Cruz, California, and for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association at their national conventions. He is co-author with Ms. Cally Haber L.Ac. of the Counselors Guide to Acupuncture Detox.

Casey Adams IHD, AMP holds a Doctor of Integrative Health Sciences, a degree in Traditional Naturopathy, a Liberal Arts BA with pre-med coursework, and diplomas in Aromatherapy, Clinical Nutritional Counseling, Blood Chemistry/Urine Analysis, Colon Hydrotherapy and Bach Flower Remedies. He is board certified as an Alternative Medical Practitioner; a member of the American Naturopathic Medical Association, the American Association of Nutritional Consultants and the American Herbalists Guild. He has 20 years of experience in the fields of herbalism, organic foods, nutrition and natural health; and has mentored under nationally-recognized herbalists and holistic medical specialists. He is not a medical doctor.

Jef Myrna, RN is a registered nurse and certified as a chelation technician from the American College for Advancement in Medicine. Jef has been administering IV nutrition therapies to patients for over ten years.

Romily Grauer, C.M.T.

Certified Massage Therapist

Romilly Grauer, CMT is a certified massage therapist with many years of experience and training. Romilly specializes in neuromuscular massage for injuries or stress-related issues. She is trained in the modalities of Swedish Massage, Lomi Lomi, Trigger Point therapy and Zero Balancing Bodywork. Romilly is a specialist in soft tissue injuries, repetitive movement injuries, neuromusculature pain, muscle spasms and adhesion, as well as range of motion limitation issues. She often utilizes oils, but can massage dry on request. Her massages are deep, profound, typically full body (or not, upon request). Her hands are knowledgable, working at depths that adapt to the patient and the injury or issue.
